My Nails - Ombre Silver-Black

I saw this video on youtube and really liked the effect so I decided that I wanted to try it myself. When I was done with just the first ombre step I was really happy ith how it turned out so I stopped there.
The colours I used was, lightest to darkest, a silver one from a set with four nail polishes that I bought at Mark and Spensers in London three years ago, Depend nr. 194 and IsaDora nr. 728 Black Galaxy which was a limited edition a while ago.
I really like this technique, it's really simple and anyone could do it and it looks amazing. I'm glad i choose a black with glitter in it. I think it adds something extra to the tip of my nails and it's really pretty.

Outfit #5 Details

I wish I was good at taking outfit pictures but I'm not, that's why I don't post that many outfits and when I do I mostly just show some details from the outfit. That is also because most of my clothes are quite simple so I add jewelry to make it more fun.
Like in this outfit, a simple necklace, two simple bracelets and a ring. Then this t-shirt that I love. It's oversized and really comfortable and casual, but then the crocheted back makes it more dressy. I feel like it's a really versatile piece and that you can wear all year around and in many different ways. I found it on the sale at nelly.com but they don't seem to have it anymore.

Nivea Sun Moisturising After Sun Lotion

We all know how important it is to protect our skin from the sun and we always hear so much about different sunscreen and makeup products with SPF. But people don't really talk that much about after sun lotions, which I think can be almost as important.
I always get sunburnt in the begining of the summer, it doesn't matter what sunscreen I have on. My skin, specially on my shoulders will be as red as a tomato. I remember one time when I was probably about 6 or 7 years old and I got so burned on my shoulders and it hurt so much that I couldn't sleep and ended up crying in my parents bed.
This is obviously a lotion that you apply after you have been out in the sun and it calms and moisturises your skin. It also says that it makes you tan last longer.
I think this works really good, it feel nice when I apply it and really makes the red sunburn go away and turn into a more tanned colour faster.
One more thing I really like about it and is probably one of the reasons to why it works so good is that it contains aloe vera which is really calming for the skin.
If you have burnt you skin really bad you might want to use something like the Jason Soothing 98% Aloe Vera Gel which I think is amazing. It works amazing if you have burnt yourself on the oven or a curling iron or something else too.

Chestnut brown hair

I have had my hair dyed since August 2008, so for almost 5 years. I don't even really remember what me natural haircolour looks like anymore. But it should be some kind of medium brown. I have had dark brown, black/blue-black and different red-brown colours in my hair. It has been red-brown since last fall and I really like it.
Now I thought it was time to dye it again cause of my roots that you can see in the picture. When I was in the store trying to decide if I wanted to go more towards a red or a brown I had a bit of a struggle. I really like the red but in the end I went for a colour more towards brown. I'm probably going to go for a more red colour the next time though.
This chestnut brown colour from Schwarzkopf turned out to be a little bit darker and a little bit more red that I expected. I know the colour look really similar to the colour my hair had before in the picture but it looks darker in person. The red in it might be the red tones I had in me hair before that shines trough. Red can be really hard to get rid of as you might know.
I really like these Colour Masks, this was the second time I used them. I always use permanent hair dyes but that doesn't mean the colour will look the same forever, it does washes out a bit after a while. But this dye looks really good for a long time. If it wasn't for my roots I wouldn't had dyed my hair and it was about two months ago I did it the last time I think.
So good job Schwarzkopf!

My Nails - Nude / Lumene Gloss & Care 13 Full Of Peonies

Here it is, the nail polish I showed in my last post.
It is a nude light pink colour. I wasn't sure if it was going to suit my skin colour or not but I wanted a pale pink so I bought it. I thought it was better to buy this for 30 :- and see how I like it rather than go for an Essie one for 129 :- straight away.
I actually do quite like this colour. It doesn't wash me out or anything and I think it's a nice colour for when I want something on my nails ( which I always want ) but nothing too much, just something subtle.
So yeah, I like the colour. The pigmentation is another story though. I think a nail polish should look good with two coats, three could be okay too. But with this one I needed four coats. Since this is a drugstore polish in a really pale colour maybe I can't ask for too much but I really wish it had a better pigmentation since it's such a pretty colour.

New makeup

I have been in a shopping mood lately but I hope it have calmed down now after my last purchases that you can see on the pictures above. There are a lot of sales here now and all of these items exept for the necklace were on sale.
I am happy with everything but I'm not going to talk too much about them since I'm planning on doing that in other posts, and show what the makeup looks like on.
The necklace is from H&M and I really like it. I like that it's simple but a bit different at the same time. I also really like the mix of gold and the stones.
The blush is the Lumene Touch Of Radiance Blush in shade 1, the second picture shows the colour of it pretty good. The nailpolish is also from Lumene in the colour 13 and I'm going to show you it in my next 'My Nails' post in a couple days.
The lipsticks are also from Lumene ( they had a good sale ). The are the Wild Rose Moist Lipsticks in Midsummer and Clouds. Both are quite nude on my lips and they feel really nice.
Lastly the lipgloss is the Moisturizing Lipgloss from Isadora and I love it! It is really pigmented and I'm going to show you this one too soon.

Lancome Hypnose Star

Here is the review I said I was going to do.
First off, this is juat a sample sized mascara I have. My sister had the full size and got this one in a Glossybox so she gave it to me so I could try it.
This mascara has a brush that I haven't seen before. It has a cone shape I guess you could say, and on the side the bristles are longer and on one side they are shorter. That means that you can use the side with short bristles to build up the volume and the side with the long bristles to seperate your lashes. I usually go back and forth with the two sides till I get my lashes as I want them.
On the pictures on the second row I show you what this mascara looks like on me. On the first photo I have only curled my lashes, on the second one I have one coat of the mascara and on the third I have two coats.
I think this mascara gives both lenght and volume and it really holds the curl. My lashes looks the same on the night when I wash my makeup off as they did when I had just applied the mascara. That is what I love about it. This is the only one I have tried that makes my lashes look the same the whole day.
I also like the volume it gives but one thing I don't like as much is that, as you can see on the picture, the more you layer this mascara your lashes kind of clump together. This is not a clumpy mascara in any way but if you compare the picture with one layer and the one with two you can see that it looks like I have more lashes with only one layer on.
Overall this is one of the best mascaras I have tried when it comes to volume and lenght, and it is the best when it comes to hold. I would buy it if my wallet would allow it. But 320 swedish crowns is too much for a mascara for me.

Golden makeup

In this post I showed you a gold smokey eye, now I wanted to do a similar makeup but a bit toned down. It is really easy to do using only 3 eyeshadows.
First I applied E2 from the first palette on the inner half of my eyelid, then E4 on the outer half and blended them together in the middle. I used the last one under the eye too. To make it a little softer I blended K5 from the second palette in the crease. I used the highliter from the Sleek face contour kit in the inner corner of the eye to make me look more awake and open my eyes a bit. Then my L'oreal duo precision eyeliner, which I don't like that much to be honest, and Lancome hypnose star mascara which I going to write a review on I think. I also used a black kohl pencil on the waterline but you can't see that in this picture.
On my cheek I have used both the contour and highlight from the Sleek kit and a blush from Natural Collection in 'pink cloud'.
The eyeliner and makes this look a bit more smokey but if you want something that might be more appropriate for an eyeryday you can skip that and just have a really pretty golden makeup.

My Nails - Summer pastels

This time when I did my nails I wanted something fresh and summery. I don't usually wear pastel polishes that much even though I really like them. But this time I took out two of the few pastel nail polishes I have and came up with this design.
First I painted one coat of a white polish from e.l.f.. Then I took a makeup sponge, painted some of the 17 Mint Choc Chip on a corner on it and dab it on my nails. I did the same thing with the Depend nr. 296. Lastly I did five dots on my fing finger with the white and added a silver rhinestone in the middle to create a flower.

New 'little black dress'

Here is a dress I bought from H&M a few days ago. I saw it online and really like it so I went to the store and bought it.
The thing I like the most about this dress is that you can easily dress it up or down.
Wear it with converse and it will look casual. Wear it with heels and it will look more dressy. You can also layer it and wear it on the winter.
Basically, I think this dress is perfect! And it only cost 99 swedish crowns.
I didn't get any good pictures of the full dress but it goes down to some inches above the knee.

I have been busy with school work the past couple weeks so I havn't had time to blog. But now I'm done with everything so there will be a post every other day as usual.
